The Yamaha SLG200S TBS answers a simple question: how do you practise in the evening without disturbing the neighbours – and still sound like a real steel-string guitar? This Silent Guitar combines a compact, frameless body design with the authentic playing feel of a classic acoustic, making it equally suited to quiet home practice, stress-free studio recording and stage performance.

Frameless design – up to 80% quieter, no feedback risk

Because the SLG200S has no conventional resonance chamber, it plays up to 80% quieter than a conventional acoustic guitar and is virtually immune to feedback, even at high stage volumes. With a 634 mm scale length and a 43 mm nut width, the neck feels instantly familiar to steel-string players.

SRT Powered System – your studio in your pocket

At its heart is the SRT Powered System: Yamaha modelled the sound of a high-end steel-string guitar in a professional studio environment and makes it accessible via a blend control that lets you mix the direct piezo signal with the microphone simulation continuously. Two reverb types, a chorus effect and a built-in chromatic tuner round out the feature set.
