This 16 Series dreadnought guitar features a spruce top for balanced tone and projection, as well as a high-performance neck taper for easy playability. Handcrafted in the Martin Guitar factory in Nazareth, USA, the D-16E body shape combines the power and projection of the iconic dreadnought with the depth and comfort of an auditorium model.
Its heart is a satin-finished spruce top paired with a mahogany or rosewood back and sides. Mahogany is lighter than rosewood and offers a bright high-frequency response and powerful midrange. The rosewood back and sides of the D-16E-01 offer well-balanced bass with rich overtones and plenty of resonance.
The D-16E features Martin E1 electronics. This gives you control over your sound at home, on stage, or in the studio. The controls give you control over volume, tone, and phase, allowing you to adjust your sound precisely and quickly. The built-in tuner ensures a well-tuned instrument.
