Warm tone, comfortable access all the way up the neck

The MERIDA Scar Senior pairs a solid spruce top with flamed koa back and sides for a tone that is both warm and clear. The OM cutaway body with arm rest makes it the guitar for you if you are looking for an acoustic guitar with comfortable playability and a full sound, on stage and at home.

Solid spruce top & flamed koa – tone that keeps opening up

A solid spruce top vibrates more freely than a laminated top and gains volume and overtones the more it is played. Flamed koa on the back and sides adds a warm, mid-forward character with striking wood grain – for a sound that continues to develop over time.

Cutaway, fretboard & nut width – comfortable access to the upper positions

The cutaway body gives you free access to the upper positions, while the Omega laminate fretboard with bone nut and saddle delivers an even response across the strings. With a 43 mm nut width and a 650 mm scale length, the Scar Senior sits comfortably in your hands without ever feeling cramped.

Merida MG-30 – stage-ready with built-in tuner and 3-band EQ

The built-in Merida MG-30 pickup system makes the Scar Senior stage-ready: you plug the guitar directly into an amplifier or mixing desk, tune up with the built-in tuner, and dial in volume, phase, and a 3-band EQ (bass, middle, treble) right on the body, no extra microphone needed.

Your advantages at a glance:

• Solid spruce top: gains volume and overtones the more you play it.
• Flamed koa back & sides: warm, mid-forward tone with striking grain.
• OM cutaway with arm rest: free access to the upper frets and comfortable playing position.
• Merida MG-30 pickup system: built-in tuner, volume, phase, and 3-band EQ (bass/middle/treble) right on the body, ready to plug into an amplifier or mixing desk.
• Chrome tuners, bone nut & saddle: stable tuning and reliable tone.
