The Sela Kalimba 17 Sapelli has a solid body made of Sapelli wood. The medium-brown colouring and the tight grain of this exotic wood from Africa are reminiscent of mahogany – and its tonal properties are excellent too. Sapelli produces a clear and bright tone without neglecting warmth in the bass and mid range.

The 17 notes of the Sela Kalimba 17 Sapelli all lie on the C major scale and range from C4 to E6.

Since all the notes harmonise with one another, even beginners can compose exciting melodies with this instrument in no time and accompany or play along to songs written in C major.

The scope of delivery of the Sela Kalimba 17 Sapelli includes a high-quality bag with a carrying loop and tailored padding, which effectively protects the instrument from damage during storage and transport. Also included are a microfibre cloth for cleaning the kalimba and a tuning hammer. The latter is needed if you wish to retune the instrument.
